Veronica's grandmother's recipes

Honey and strawberries in equal amounts. Mix strawberries and honey without crushing the berries, dry them in the sun, put them in tins or jars and close them.

STRAWBERRIES WITH HONEY

Ingredients: 

Honey

Strawberries       

Half and half

Put the grapes in clusters into jars with a wide opening, without crushing the berries. Then prepare a marinade of honey, vinegar and spices; boil it for 20 minutes, taking off the foam. Pour the hot marinade over the grapes and close the jars hermetically.

MARINATED GRAPES

Ingredients: 

2 kg of honey,

3.5 kg of grapes,

0.5L of vinegar,

spices (cloves,cinnamon)

Prepare a solution from honey, salt and water and boil. Wash the apples(preferably anthony) and pour the honey water over them. After 1-1.5 months, the apples are good to eat.

APPLES IN BRINE​​​​​​​

Ingredients: 

60 dag of honey,

3 tsp. salt,

apples,

10 L of water

Peel the pears, remove the seed nests and boil them in water half and half with honey. When the fruit can be lightly pierced with a stick,remove them to a strainer, sprinkle them with sugar, put them on a baking tray lined with straw and bake. Then remove the pears, dip them in syrup and bake again. Repeat this activity 3-4 times. The lasttime dip the pears in the syrup and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Store in tins or jars.
