Honey is one of the oldest and most popular food products in the world. It is a sweet, thick substance produced by bees from the nectars of flowers. Honey is rich in nutrients, has many health-promoting properties and is used in cooking, cosmetics and medicine.

 

Types of honey

There are many different types of honey, depending on which flowers the bees collect nectar from. The most common types of honey are:

Honey should not be consumed by children under the age of 1, people with diabetes and those with pollen allergies.
